Posicionamento Empresarial sobre a Sustentabilidade dos Sistemas Alimentares no Brasil

O presente documento aborda a pauta de Transformação nos Sistemas Alimentares como vertente essencial para a agenda do desenvolvimento sustentável. Ele reflete o posicionamento do Conselho Empresarial Brasileiro para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável, (CEBDS), das empresas participantes do seu Grupo de Trabalho (GT) de Sistemas Alimentares e das demais organizações que o assinam.

É fundamental que o Brasil, um país continental com a maior floresta tropical do planeta e um dos maiores produtores e exportadores mundiais de alimentos, assuma o protagonismo mundial na Agenda de Transformação de Sistemas Alimentares. Desta forma, as empresas signatárias deste documento tem como objetivo (i) promover a conscientização e o engajamento dos atores globais e nacionais no que tange a atuação empresarial sobre a transformação dos sistemas alimentares; (ii) apoiar a ampla discussão em eventos estratégicos, como a primeira Cúpula de Sistemas Alimentares da ONU, a ser realizada em setembro de 2021; (iii) colaborar com a cadeia produtiva somando esforços na promoção de sistemas alimentares saudáveis, sustentáveis, inclusivos e resilientes.
