Building on the long history and commitment of dairy farmers as stewards of the land, in 2020, the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy pledged to address its total greenhouse gas footprint and set aggressive new environmental sustainability goals that focus on the areas where U.S. dairy could have the greatest impact, as prioritized in the 2019 materiality assessment.

GrowUS, NOCROP, AHS
The GrowUS Initiative is a collective of Anaheim High School Teachers, NOCROP Instructors, and Anaheim High School students who are dedicated to developing, planning, and executing a vertical farm system(s) on our High School Campus, in the hopes of improving school meals, feeding the communities around the school, and educating students of the future of agriculture, and our impact that food systems have on the planet.
We believe that in order to act globally, we must first act locally. Anaheim was hit hard during the pandemic, and many of our students and families are in need of proper nutrition, consistent meals, and the best food education we can give them. By acting as a “community school” and by following in alignment the UN Sustainable Goals, GrowUS hopes to achieve our goal of establishing a mass production vertical growing system on campus and to share our progress with the world.
If we can target today’s youth by educating, sharing, and working together we can surely accomplish our goals.
Boost Nature-Based Solutions of Production
Nature is the best healer of nature. We all are nature’s creation. Nature has sufficient food and water for nature and nature’s creation. Misuse and bad use is the cause of the crisis.
Taking forward the work of the solution cluster, a global coalition of allies will be developed to support nature-positive innovation linked to the Global Action Agenda for Innovation in Agriculture that will be launched at COP26, engaging numerous organisations and thousands of stakeholders.
