In line with the objectives of the “Coalition for the transformation of food systems through agroecology”, Biovision Foundation will invest in the coming three years (2022-2024) approx. USD 35 Million to advance the application of agroecology as a means for food systems transformation in Sub-Sahara Africa, in Switzerland, and globally.
In Sub-Sahara Africa (focus: East Africa) Biovision will specifically support the development and dissemination of agroecological production methods through participatory research and farmer communication programmes. It will further support local actors in strengthening their capacities and help inclusive agroecological market systems to evolve.
In Switzerland, Biovision will contribute to raising awareness among the Swiss population, facilitate dialogues between concerned stakeholder groups and advocate for a conducive policy framework.
At the global level, Biovision will advocate for coherently aligning policies with agroecological principles and facilitate the scaling of investments in agroecological enterprises and initiatives.
